One night I dreamed about Him.

One night, a long time ago, I dreamed about Him.  He said, “Yahya, will you die for me?”  I said, “I would my God; without a doubt.”  He said, “Will you die for him; My son?”

I hesitated.  I said, “But I don’t know him; my God.  Why would I want to die for Him?”  He said, “Is it not enough for you that he is my Son?”  I said, “God, my God, I will die for him if you tell me to die for him, but I don’t know Him!”

Years have passed, and I have come to know and love this Jesus of Nazareth.  Through Him, I have come to know peace.  Through Him, I have come to know my God in a magnificent light.  Through him, I am enlightened.  Through Him, I have come to know and feel the Holy Spirit.  Through the Holy Spirit, I commune with my God; each and every day of my life.  And when I am in the presence of my Father, I bless His Son; the one who died for me so that I could have this blessing.  And the cycle repeats.

The other night I dreamed about Him again.  He said, “Yahya, will you die for me?”  I said, “I would my God; without a doubt!”  He said, “Will you die for Him; My Son?”  I said I will, my God, if you let me.”  He said, “You cannot die for Jesus.”  I said, “Who then, my God?  Who should I die for?”  He said, “Do you not understand?  Jesus died so that death itself would die.  You cannot die!”  I then understood.  ”I said, “God, my God; what then can I do for You?”  He said, “It is true that you cannot die for Jesus, but you can live for Him!  So live for Him!  Jesus told you that the only path to My heart is through loving one another.  Love everyone you meet; and every life you touch, will bring Jesus one step closer to their doors.  Love them, and you have done all that I ask.”
