Tomorrow
The cry of the mothers
Echoes over the lilies of the field
Now red with the blood of the innocent
And the quake of the Earth
Shakes the moon into darkness
The once green, flourishing land
Is buried under the black snow
Hot molten lava flows through the
Cracked crust of the earth
And the craters
Where the cities once were
Burn in smoldering heat and black smoke
The once mighty armies
Now deprived of all their weapons
Are still fighting in the desolate wasteland
They take up arms with sticks and stones
And they continue to kill
For hate’s sake
And I tremble
In the fear of tomorrow
